You can also do plank exercises on the medicine ball which is where you put your hands on the ball and hold your body in the up part of the push up position. To increase the level of challenge for this exercise, do leg lifts while you perform your planks. If you aren't familiar with these exercises, though, practice them on mats before you do them on medicine balls.

Sit-ups are known by most people as a fantastic ab workout that you can do; they are also the most hated. The problem with sit-ups is that you have to do many sets and repetitions to get results. A better alternative nowadays is to use a machine that makes the same basic movement much more efficient. There are lot of different ab machines that you can use to imitate the motion for sit-ups but that give you quite a lot more support and a wider motion range which will help make the motion safer and more effective at the same time. One of the machines is called an ab chair but there are other choices too. One of these machines can give you the same effect in just five minutes that would take a lot longer if you did the sit ups naturally. It is a good idea to switch up your workout routine every once in a while because it helps you work different groups of muscles and keeps your routines interesting. It's easy to get bored when you do the exact same workout every day and every week. What really matters is that you do at least some sort of effective exercise at least a few times each week.
